Lapeng Conference & Event Centre lies at the foot of the Paardeberg in the South of Johannesburg and greets delegates with an 'at-home' feeling as the name implies. Our new venue is conveniently situated about 30km from both Johannesburg and Vereeniging CBDs and is easily accessible from the R82 and R59 highways and most roads linking the Vaal-Triangle with the central Witwatersrand.

The name “Lapeng” which in Sotho means “my home” was the brainchild of Sowetan entrepreneur Simon Moloi, and has become one of the finest Hotels & Conferencing establishments, south of Johannesburg.

QUADING (Minimum 30 pax)
A fun filled race day or half day.
Activity – full race setup. Group divided in to teams.
Let the race begin

TREASURE HUNT
Hunt for treasure all over the property. All treasure has a financial value.
The winning team takes home the prize.
This creates the sense of urgency and a competitive spirit.

FORTUNE TELLING
Design a banner how you foresee the company in the future.
Divide in to two groups, divide the banner in half and each team paints. Then each team tries to understand each groups ideas.

SURVIVOR TEAM CHALLENGE
This is a fun interactive programme where teams participate in various challenges. Creating a team flag; a war cry; ‘bug’ eating relay; tumbling towers; leading the blind; fire race; water transfer; tyre juggle; stilts and many more….

QUIDICH MATCH
A fun based activity on brooms (similar to hockey) devised from Harry Potter.

POTIONS (Minimum 40 pax)
A flare-er to show how to make potions.
Everyone is divided in to teams, they make their own potion and try to flare.
Drinks included.

RIVER RAFTING / ABSAILING
Off-site 45 minutes (Transport extra)
Half day – 7Km river race with guides and safety equipment.
Absailing – Half day exercise. Qualified instructors and all equipment.

ARCHERY
A fun team activity. Games include bulls eye; killer and 501.

FROG DERBY
This enable you to experience an afternoon of frog racing.

DRUMMING

Radio controlled mini racers. Towering food; levitation; around the world; memory and many more….

We can accommodate up to 72 delegates sharing in comfortable professionaly decorated Village Chalets (with single rooms and kitchenettes), Hotel rooms, VIP Suites and Honeymoon Suites with spa baths.

Entertainment areas include two covered lapas with built-in braai areas, a 120 seater restaurant, an upstairs lounge, a sports bar, private dining and function rooms as well as a chapel for wedding functions. Lapeng Conference & Event Centre is built on a vast indigenous property and offers guests breathtaking views from the hotel patios.

Pula, the Main Conference room seats 200 guests Banquet Style. The Conference Centre also has four breakaway rooms. Please note that this venue requires a dance floor which should be hired for your own account.

Nala Restaurant with mountain views
Our cozy Nala restaurant leads off the main reception area, allowing guests to stay under cover at all times. Once in the dining room your guests will be able to enjoy the wonderful African cuisine and atmosphere.

The Private Dining Room is a very quaint area, which leads off to our upper terrace.
